Projects & tasks — Less chasing. More doing.

Give every task an owner, a deadline and the context to move forward.

Who this helps

Teams coordinating their own work, with optional client or brand context.

The situation

A creative brief is ready, but the reviewer needs the files, deadline and discussion before they can take over.

Fictional example: Nour moves the Autumn launch creative brief from In progress to Review. This website example makes no live changes.

Follow the example, step by step

  1. Find the work that needs attention

    What you do
Open the project board and locate the creative brief in In progress.
    What changes
The task sits beside the other deliverables and their current statuses.
    Why it helps
You can see this handoff in the wider plan.
  2. Keep the reason beside the request

    What you do
Review the brief, checklist, attached references, owner and due date before passing it on.
    What changes
The task context stays visible as the card begins moving across the board.
    Why it helps
The reviewer has the information needed to start.
  3. Make readiness visible

    What you do
Change the task status to Review when the work is ready.
    What changes
The same creative brief appears in Review with its context intact.
    Why it helps
The team can distinguish work awaiting review from work still being produced.
  4. Continue from the same record

    What you do
Open the task during review and use its existing context for the next decision.
    What changes
The board and task both show the review state; Nour remains the visible owner.
    Why it helps
A status update communicates progress without creating a second brief.

What your team gains

The next person can understand the handoff from the same task instead of rebuilding the brief from messages.

Keep the plan and the details together, so people can see what needs attention.

Inside Projects & tasks

Multiple views

Review progress by status or look across dates without maintaining a separate plan.

Task detail

Descriptions, comments and attachments give people a place to find the working context.

Checklists & subtasks

Break a larger deliverable into pieces that can be followed through.

Time & custom fields

Capture effort and the information your particular workflow needs.

Project permissions

Choose who can see tasks and which actions each role can perform.

Automations

Configure recurring handoffs and task updates with rules.

Questions and requirements

Do I need a client to organize my own team?

No. Projects can be created without a client or brand. Add that context when the work serves a particular relationship.

Does moving the task assign a reviewer?

A status change alone does not imply reassignment. Change the assignee yourself or configure a permitted automation for that handoff.

Requirements and limits

Available views and actions depend on your access. Time tracking and automations require an eligible paid plan.

Understand the next tool here

Read how each connection helps before choosing whether to open another page. Moving between tools does not itself configure an automatic handoff.

Automations — read how it fits

Configure a recurring review assignment once the team has agreed on the rule.

Turn repeatable decisions into workflows your team can inspect, test and control.

Fictional example: a high-priority task entering In review is assigned to Layla by a configured workflow.

Before you use it

Automations require a paid plan. Triggers and actions are filtered by permissions, scope, connected account capabilities and configuration.

This page simulates a task-status rule locally; it does not execute a server workflow or send notifications.

Files & attachments — read how it fits

Attach the references a reviewer needs to understand this task.

Keep supporting material close to the task or record that gives it meaning.

Fictional example: the creative brief has an Autumn launch proposal PDF and Collection artwork attachment.

Before you use it

Preview support varies by format. Storage and upload limits apply. The website sample does not upload files.

Time tracking — read how it fits

Record the effort spent on the same deliverable.

Record time against the task so the work and the effort stay connected.

Fictional example: Nour records two hours of concept exploration and another hour and a half refining the direction.

Before you use it

Time tracking requires an eligible paid plan. A time entry is not automatically a billable invoice line.
